DESERT DOLPHINS SCUBA CLUB

History of the Club

The Desert Dolphins SCUBA Club was established in January of 1959 from an interest in the new sport of SCUBA diving. At that time, the focus of the club was around socializing and spearfishing. The sport of SCUBA diving has changed a lot in the past 60 years and the club has grown with it. We still love to socialize but with a focus on conservation. We no longer shoot fish with spear guns…now we shoot them with our cameras!

Throughout the year, we have many events where we can live out our three key missions of Education, Conservation, and Community. As dolphins, of course, we always like to have fun along the way!
